Thai Yellow Curry Meatballs

Thai Yellow Curry Meatballs are tender turkey meatballs smothered in a Thai-style yellow curry sauce with a side of naan for dipping.

You’ve had meatballs but you haven’t experienced them like this! The bold flavor in this Thai-inspired dish is sure to become a dinner staple. I’ll show you how to create a quick, well-balanced meal using three Trader Joes items as the base.

I love rolling up my sleeves and getting down in the kitchen but sometimes I just want a quick, tasty meal that doesn’t require a bunch of steps. I’m sure you can agree. As an avid Trader Joe’s shopper, I decided to use some of my favorite TJ staples to make delicious dinners that only taste like they took a lot of effort. Trust me when I say, it doesn’t get any easier than this!

Making a curry sauce from scratch can be tricky and time consuming. I use Trader Joe’s Thai Yellow Curry Sauce to get that take out taste for a fraction of the cost. The Trader Joes’s Turkey Meatballs are a healthier alternative to beef or sausage meatballs and just as juicy! The Tandoori Naan has a thin and crisp outer layer but it’s soft on the inside, making it perfect for dipping and scooping.

The ingredients for the Thai Yellow Curry Meatballs

Preparing the Thai Yellow Curry Meatballs

First, gather your ingredients. From Trader Joes, you’ll need Tandoori Naan, Turkey Meatballs and Thai Yellow Curry Sauce. You will also need canola oil, sesame seeds and parsley.

Then, remove the frozen package of meatballs from the freezer and let the bag thaw for 20-30 minutes.

Making the Thai Yellow Curry Meatballs and Naan

To start, add canola oil to a medium sauce pan and cook the meatballs for 10 minutes. Next, add Thai Yellow Curry Sauce into the same sauce pan and cook for 10-12 minutes. Alternatively, you can add all to a baking dish and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the naan on a baking sheet and heat for 2 minutes.

Finally, plate your meal and enjoy!

What sides can I add?

While this dish stands great on its own, I also had it with a side of basmati or jasmine rice. It sopped up the curry nicely and made for a hearty meal. I also suggest adding veggies like carrots, onions and baby bok choy.

What is Naan?

Naan is an oven-baked flatbread found in the cuisines mainly of Western Asia, South Asia, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Caribbean.
