Avocado Toast: Three Ways

ALLLLLLLL aboard, let’s hop on the avocado toast trend. Are you fixated along with the millions of others who have added avocados to their breakfast menu? Not to mention, this recipe has been around for years! But, let’s pretend for now and just follow trendy orders!

Avocadoes are naturally sodium, sugar, and cholesterol free. Which makes this a darn good bandwagon to follow because it’s so nutritious! You can make endless variations using this creamy fruit. In addition, it can be eaten raw, but are also commonly used in foods like guacamole. Furthermore, to keep my recipe simple, I made a guac mixture.  This will add more flavor as my toast base with my crunchy, sweet & tart delicious toast!

  • Fresh Multigrain or Arisan sliced bread (I purchased Quinoa bread from Trader Joes because it looked interesting).
  • 2 ripe Avocado (peeled, seeded and mashed)
  • 1 Cucumber (sliced, then into halves)
  • 1/8 tsp of Chia or Hemp seeds (whichever you prefer)
  • 1/2 cup mixed Cherry or Heirloom tomatoes (sliced into halves)
  • 1/3 cup Sundried tomatoes ( chopped)
  • Salt & Pepper

Avocado Directions

  1. Mash the fresh avocados in a medium size bowl with garlic, cilantro, salt & pepper. Next, squeeze half of the lime
  2. Set aside for later.

Avocado Toast with Mixed Cherry/Heirloom Tomatoes

  1. Toast a slice of bread and then spread with avocado mixture.
  2. Place sliced cherry tomatoes on top, sprinkle with a pinch of salt & pepper if desired.


California Avocado Toast with Cucumbers

  1. Toast a slice of bread and then spread with avocado mixture.
  2. Place sliced cucumbers on top and sprinkle with chia seeds.


California Avocado Toast with Sundried Tomoates

  1. Toast a slice of bread and then spread with avocado mixture.
  2. Place chopped sundried tomatoes on top and sprinkle with salt & pepper.
